Is there anyone in the Atlanta area that knows somewhere to find feeder rats on the southside? The place I went last time is out.. and its feeding day...

I'm not in the Atlanta area, but i would definitely start going to reptile shows. They always have live feeders and f/t feeders there cheap. If you feed f/t , worst comes to worst you can go to Petsmart or Petco. They sell f/t mice/rats there - but they're not cheap. When you go to a show you can just buy a large supply of feeders until the next one. Not sure about other shows, but in PA there's a show that's once a month which is nice.

+1 to what reptiler said. Go to your local shows, you will find people selling both live, and frozen feeders dirt cheap. I do believe the Atlanta repticon was yesterday.... You would have found quite a bit there!
    I've got quite a few...

I know there is a Repticon that comes to Atlanta (Gwinette Fair Grounds) around 4 times a year. Was there this weekend, and they had both F/T and live mice/rats for sale. As a previous poster replied, your other option is to go to PetSmart/PetCo for frozen feeders, but you're going to end up paying around $12 for either 6 large mice or 4 small rats. They really stick it to you.

yea, but i feed live and am not a fan of the idea of keeping live rats in my house for any longer than it takes our Temu (Male BP) to kill it. How do I find when dif shows are going on? Is there a place that they announce that stuff? There is a place I go to get feeders, but I want to find somewhere else simply because the owner keeps the snakes he has there for sale in horrid conditions and I dont want to support that type of person. He keeps like 5 juvie BPs in a like 20 gal tank... and there is sheds and excrement all over the place... it makes my heart hurt and feel like I need to call the snake police on him.

Re: Trouble Finding Feeders in my area

If you google "atlanda reptile shows" or "(your city) reptile shows" there should be a few results. You might get a ton of criticism for feeding live, be warned. Your best bet is to try to switch him to frozen thawed. I know I know, it's not as fun to watch but it's much easier to get feeders that way.

I dealt with the same thing - I was going to a dirty pet store with a boa in a 20 gallon, max. The only reason I was feeding live is because my bp wouldn't take f/t, so when he finally took f/t I stopped going there.

Another option for live is going to petsmart or petco and adopting a rat, lol. It's gonna get pretty expensive, though.

If you have facebook you can join local reptile groups and can usually find suppliers of live or frozen feeders that way.
