First Bite!?!
Well I have finally joined the bite club, and despite that fact that 98% of my snakes are ball pythons, of course it was the baby king that got me first. He decided my thumb was a good snack and would NOT let me go. Some how I managed to survive, here is a picture of the vicious attack. Luckily my mom was visiting and reminded me of the most important thing to do in this terrifying position, pictures!

Speaking of which, I need to go feed him, later!

Re: First Bite!?!
Your thumb is bigger than him! I wonder how he thought that was going to work out.

Re: First Bite!?!
Little brat did not want to let go at all, then he started working his jaw toward my thumb nail... Every time I feed him he is a complete spaz!

Re: First Bite!?!
Kings are notorious finger nibblers IMO. I used to put mine under cold running water when he wouldn't let go and went to start swallowing my fingers. As he got older I've started with cold water then start turning the hot on. It doesn't get too warm before he lets go. Getting him back in the enclosure before he tries latching on again is the hard part afterward.
Welcome to the club. He is cute.

I had a juvenile MBK do exactly that except she got the side of my pinky, and then she started working around to the nail. Cold water didn't work, but a cotton ball soaked in white vinegar waved in front of her nose did the trick.
