    Mystic x Black Pastel

Has anyone produced or seen what a Black Pastel Mystic would look like. I am trying to decide which male (butter or mystic) to put with my black pastel female. I like the look of the black butters, but I haven't been able to find anything on a black pastel mystic. WOBP genetic wizard doesn't show any results. I was just wondering what it would look like to help me with my decision.

Thank you. I didn't think about checking with an extra gene. I wonder how much influence that the yellow belly adds?

http://www.worldofballpythons.com/mo...-black-pastel/ there you go, mystic and phantom appear to be quite identical in every regard, just like lesser and butter.

    i would still prefer butter/lesser:

on its own or in combos, butter or lesser is just stronger than mystic or phantom, so in my opinion mystic or phantom make most sense when you want to go for non-white super forms and BELs. stuff like mystic potion, purple passion, super phantom.

but its a matter of taste, both combos look really nice. another option would be black pastel mojave.

Thanks. I had forgotten about the phantom being identical to the mystic. After seeing the pic I think that I would have to agree that the black butter/lesser has a more standout look to it. I like the black pastel mojaves also but I don't have a Mojave male to put with her.

I produced 1.1 black pastel mystics recently. They hatched toward the end of October. They're Soooooooo cool black backed!

They sure turned out way better than I thought they would. Here are some pics..

Lots of BPs, and still not enough!

@clarkt woot, where did the dorsal stripe go? i still like the colors and the side patterning, but the remaining fragments that remain on the dorsal are so bright that it also would look quite cool with more of a dorsal stripe.

I don't know, either. The 2 black pastel siblings are very black backed, too, so I would assume it's just this clutch. Very cool combination, though. I would suggest it be tried for more often.

@ClarkT : Come on man!!! I already had my mind made up on some black butters and then you had to post some pics like that. Seriously those are some great examples of that combo congrats. If I was certain that I would produce some like that it would be a no-brainer. Oh well time to start thinking about it all over again.
