Is this a good deal?
I am currently considering buying a pair of ball pythons from someone. They are yellowbellies and they both have the same father but different mothers. Father - Yellowbelly 100% het Piebald Albino. Mothers - Yellowbelly 100% het Piebald. They said that they have the potential to create Piebalds, Albinos, Yellowbellies, Ivorys, Ivory Pieds, Ivory Albinos, Albino Yellowbellies, Piebald Yellowbellies (aka pumpkin pieds), Albino Piebalds, Albino Piebald yellowbellies, and Piebald Albino Ivorys. $50 each. Are these worth buying? They will be my first ball pythons and first breeding project.

I would pick them up in a heartbeat if any genetic paperwork comes with them!

Re: Is this a good deal?
First of all, what is the second mother?
There's only going to be a possibility that they will have a het. Pied or Albino. Plus, in order to prove out recessive genes both snakes will have to carry that gene. So to prove out the Pied, both snakes would have to be het. Pied. Same goes for the Albino.
Personally, I don't think this would be a good idea for a first breeding project. It would get too complicated because you wouldnt know for sure if the animals are carrying the said genes.
If you're going to buy hets, make sure that they're 100% hets that way you're sure that they have a chance to prove out.
Also I'd recommend playing around with the genetic wizard.

So the reality is that these 4 possibilities is what you might get from him:
It's definitely a gamble that you will get both snakes Het Pied. Again, personally I wouldn't do it.
0.1 Reg. BP Het. Albino (Faye),
1.0 Albino BP (Henry),
0.1 Pastave BP Het. Pied (Kira)
1.0 Pied BP (Sam)
1.0 Bumble Bee BP (Izzy)

The OP said "Same Father, different Mothers. Father was a Yellowbelly 100% het Piebald Albino and Mothers (Both of them) were a Yellowbelly 100% het Piebald". So it would depend on what gene each one has picked up from mom and dad.

I don't see why not, if you like ivories. Even if they didn't pick up matching het genes, $100 for a pair of yellowbellies certainly isn't bad. Just be sure you have someone who can help you pick the yellowbellies from the normals, because this tends to be one of the subtler morphs for newer hobbyists. Paperwork wouldn't mean anything, since they're both only possible hets (nothing to guarantee).

there is a reason why possible hets arent really priced higher than BPs that arent possible hets. the odds are too long, 100% hets are cheap enough, and its a gamble.
then, in the case of piebald, people with access to the whole clutch can often use markers to pick out the most promising possible hets. if the hatchlings that really look like they should be het pied have been held back, you are left with 50% possible het albino for each.
