I got a female so I didn't repeat the mistake I made with my first ball python (getting a male thinking I won't be interested in breeding). Now from what I read there really aren't any morphs for BCC? I really like the "normals" and looked all over the show to find one like her. She's nice and light and her tail is nice and red. She's got a nice subtle pink to her sides too, plus she's het albino. So did I just get into the wrong locality for breeding morphs? I love her and will keep her as just a pet if that's the case.
To answer your question, yes sort of.

You may want to look at the locality thread that Evenstar started.

Most BCC folks, and I say most not all, are VERY strict about keeping BCC localities pure.

They frown upon mixing localities and subspecies.

The BCI is another story. There ARE still serious locality folks, but over the years the morph market exploded and the morphs we mostly see are BCI.

I don't know enough about morphs and who's mixing what with what to go further, but from all the info I see hand hear from BCC people they tend to be purists.
