We use reptibark. It seems to help with the shedding, rough enough to pull shed off, but not to hurt them. I don't like aspen, it seems Cheesy & not rough enough. Also seems to carry mites more often then not at the pet stores & whatnot. Other then that it seems everyone covered anything else you have going on. And bigger water dish is always fine, easy to soak when they need it. Enjoy your new buddy!!!
