    bulk mice dillema

im really considering buying the bulk mice just because im simply not going to have much time to do running around doing chores then going to the store with me working 17 hours a day. when im not working, the stores are going to be closed (i work 5 am - 10 pm) or its my only day off and i'd like to kick back, and get laundry ect done..
here's the one thing, both my snakes are growing like weeds.
i expected it from turbo because he was malnourished and skinny when i rescued him and im fattening the little sucker up hahaha
he's gone from a small to medium to a large pinkie within the matter of 2.5 months.
    soon to be on fuzzies.
    turbine is on fuzzies.

what i want to know is does anyone know a site where i can "mix and match" prey items?
it seems they come in excessive amounts.
100 per order? that's enough for a year! it would be fine if i was feeding a colony, but im not, and he'll be way above a fuzzie in a year. they both will be.
i know it's a long shot, but maybe someone on here has heard of it? or where i can input EXACTLY the amount i want/need of a certain size.
anything you know about it would be appreciated.

& yes i've thought about breeding, but i want to wait until i get an apartment so the 6 dogs and 3 cats dont get into the mice.. they're quite nosy

    thanks guys!

Alright, for starters where are you from?

Next, what kind of snakes are you feeding? Without even knowing this there is no possible way to give you an accurate answer.

Okay, what sizes do you need for them? That way I know where to refer you to and about what to do with the extra, because unless they're only on two sizes you'll have extra.

I'm going to assume you mean mice unless they're very large rat snakes which assuming that's not the case.

What I personally would do is order just regular fuzzies. Most of the time they'll be a little size variation, so the ones that need bigger or smaller you can just pick from there. Anything without hair is good for about 6 month if sealed really well. Hair(I wouldn't include fuzzies in this) will last up to a year. I personally like Big Cheese Rodents because the shipping isn't as much as other places and you're not required to order a large amount with places like rodent pro and all that.

I would avoid micedirect and rodentpro personally. I use Big Cheese Rodents, but I live in the next state over. You can call and see how much shipping would be to you because they're probably still cheaper than most. The other place semi close is American Rodent Supply. They're two states over from you so shipping will proably not be that much. If I were you I would call ARS and get 50 fuzzies and then 50 large fuzzies/crawlers. That's like $22 or something like that, and shipping will probably run you $30ish, any more then that and I would call Big Cheese Rodents. Then what you do is find other people who have snakes and sell them some of your bulk supply for like $.75/$1 a fuzzy. That way you make up your shipping and then cut into your cost as well. Hope this helps.

See I'll never ever ever recommend Rodent Pro to anybody because I put honesty very high on my priority list and those people are not. I'm sorry but if I were shutdown by the government becasue of issues with my animals and was then reinstated and found to be clean then that's great. If a potentially buyer asks me about it then I would be honest and explain what happened and what we do to prevent it, instead of flat out lying and saying that it never happened or anything like that. If I see a snake I really want and I inquire about it and the breeder tells me to make sure to check him over for mites because he's been battling with them, then that's fine because he's honest. If I have an issue with something then I'm going to be honest about it becasue I'd rather my customers think of me as being honest rather then trying to make a sale.

If you have any questions please feel free to message me. I'll help you as best as I can.

I personally have been using rodent pro for years and have never had an issue and will continue to buy from them. However if you ordered 100 fuzzy mice from them, (which is what I would recommend you can always double up on the number of mice you feed when the snakes get bigger, you're going to get some size variation in the same bag) The mice are only going to cost you $25.00 but the shipping will be around $40.00 so you're going to pay more for shipping then you are for the mice, also your shipping container will be mostly empty. If possible you might want to find someone else who also needs mice and combine your orders so you can split shipping costs.
