Why do Pastels only have to be used to go lighter? I would agree that years ago a brown Pastel would be basically worthless. At this point in the game though, with as many morphs are out there now, I think this is pretty limited thinking.

There are lots of directions to go and if you're trying to make light or reduced combos then buy a light Pastel. If you're trying for darker combos wouldn't you want to cross it into darker Pastels?
