Barranquilla and Peters Type B are the only 2 known PURE lines of Colombian BCI. Other Colombians (aka, common boas) are not really pure and are of varied or mixed locales.

So the short answer to your question is, yes, there are Colombian, Barranquilla Colombian, and Peters Type B Colombian BCI.

    Any more progress on this?

It would be nice if they could refine the thread and get the pics with the label and make it a sticky thread.

    I love the locality boas!!

That was my goal Gio. I'm a bit disappointed to see the lack of interest. I thought it would be a valuable tool - especially since we all get asked the question so often.....

Yes, sort of a bummer. I wish I could help more but I'm a 1 boa, 1 royal and 2 dogs guy. The last 3 won't work for this thread LOL!

I had visions of a photo layout like the Russo book only the animals would be from the people here.

I think its a great idea,,,, COME ON FOLKS,,,,,, there's gotta be some more locality boa owners here!

    Don't let this thread die.

More detail on the Barranquilla, Colombian BCI. If this thread comes together pick one of my 3 photos (2 are posted in other responses) and use whatever you think is the best one.

These are pics from the summer. This snake has hit a growth spurt which is a bit odd this time of year, so if I post any more, the size difference will be obvious.

    Ohhh! I'll play!!!

I only have one boa - but IMO, it's a good one!!!!

    This is 'Loco.'

He is my 15 month old Mexican Dwarf BCI. AKA - Tarahumara Boa.

I got him from Vin Russo earlier this year.

    Love this little dude....

Photos of a wild type Boa constrictor longicauda from this summer.
I'll try to update with newer photos after her next shed, her octogenic colour change has begun although far from finished.
