Going into shed?
Hi guys, I was handling my Super Hypo Red Tail, which I've had for two and a half weeks, and I noticed her pattern starting to grey a little. I was wondering if she is going possibly going into shed?
Thanks!
Sorry for the crappy iPhone pictures.

The best way I can tell if my boas are going into shed is when they get really dark (my hypo doesn't get greyer but she does get darker) and they start to get wrinkled around their jaws even when humidity is up.

hard to tell from the pictures. She may be going into shed, just keep your husbandry up and wait and see.

^^ Agreed. It's hard to tell with boas and harder still to tell from pictures. And Hypos are even harder, lol. Plus, Hypos can change color as the grow which makes going by the color almost impossible.
Based on the pictures, your snake does not appear to be going into shed - but as I said, that's hard to tell.

Yeah, hard to tell from pictures, but doesn't appear so. Boas aren't as obvious when going into shed as balls. I can usually tell with my hypo, because he gets super dark, and will hide for a day or two at a time. Which is uncommon for him. He's always out watching what's going on.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.
