    Wooden bookshelf into enclosure?

I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, sorry if this belongs somewhere else. :x

has anyone ever converted a bookshelf into a BP enclosure? I've seen tv cabinets, dressers, china displays, etc done, but what about a book shelf? I'm very much into display like housing so I feel the bookshelf would give me the sleek look, at a reasonable price, and be space conscious.

If so are there pictures available? Maybe a thread very much similar? Thanks in advance (:

Check the DIY Subforum! Lots of fun ideas there. Welcome to the forum!

A word of caution though, make sure the wood you're using isn't pine or a plywood/composite. Or, if it is, there are ways to seal it to protect the snakes from the poisonous oils and adhesives used in such products. But beyond that, the possibilities are pretty much endless!

Thank you!! i am not sure what the wood is, will definitely find out before I begin any construction. I know I will definitely have to seal it either way too prevent mold growth, bacteria breeding, etc. I have been looking through the DIY section of the forum. Lots of great custom enclosure ideas. I guess i will have to take the basics & simply tweak it to match my shelving unit.
