    Do her eyes look normal?

Hi if you haven't seen my boa thread, am new here. I currently have 2 snakes...a baby BP & a baby rosy boa who I love dearly

I haven't had my BP too long but so far things are going great!

My hubby & I were curious about her eyes...they look almost pearly like [but not milky or cloudy] if that makes sense, remind us of beads. They kinda bulge out a little too...we wondered if maybe she had stuck eye caps? Or if maybe its just normal & part of her pattern.

Her eyes have been like it since we got her & she hasn't shed yet in our care.

Maybe we're worrying for nothing! The pic is a phone pic, best I could get.

Looks to me like stuck eye caps. Should come off in the next shedding.

Really? Ok thank you, thought it may have been poor girl! She came from someone who just didn't want her anymore so we're not too sure of her care background. She seemed in decent shape, but we've been wondering about her eyes.

Hopefully she has no issues shedding for us.

Looks like there may be stuck eyecaps. May even a bit of stuck shed on her neck. Just make sure your humidity is up when she next goes into shed, and they should come off. Shoot for 70% humidity if you can.

Will do, I know humidity is a big deal for BPs. She has a large water dish & am using EE for sub that I mist daily. We just picked up some moss today too which am gonna soak & add to her hide.

I am determined for her to have a perfect shed...even more so knowing she hasn't in the past.

The eye caps must be bothering her right? Do they not cause damage to her eyes?

I'm glad your new girl has finally landed in a loving home!

It does look like stuck eye caps yes, and the steps you're taking should do the trick. They don't damage her eyes, but are probably annoying since she can't see so well, kind of like always looking through glasses with vasoline smeared on them.

Thanks! Phew! Am glad her eyes won't be damaged, but that sucks its probably irritating for her she must be a trooper coz she has a wonderful temperament, not once balled up since we got her...loves to be out & exploring. We've had her a little over a month.

I'm glad we have her too & can't wait to watch her grow up. I love both my snakes & see more in my future haha.
