    Need help!

My girl has been a good eater. We offered her a f/t rat today and on her first strike she knocked her mouth on a fake rock. It looks like she has a little splinter in her mouth and her mouth is a little bit crooked but looks like it could just be because of the splinter. I know you should feed them outside of her enclosure but she will not take food I she is put into another tank. She seems to be quite hungry and her tongue is pretty active. She won't take the rat now she did strike again but missed (didn't hit anything).

I refroze the rat and am going to try again tomorrow. But I am wondering if the splinter will work it's way out. Any advice would be helpful.

    Cheers

Just a couple things, you do not have to feed in a seperate enclosure, feed her in her terrarium its less stressful. And I would not refreeze and reuse a rat, it could go bad, not a good idea.

Thanks for the reply. It was only thawed for an hour or so then refrozen. We have done this is the past as the freezing breaks down the tissue and makes the rat a little more appetizing.

No need to move her, feeding in the enclosure is fine.
You can refreeze one but the rat starts to go bad as soon as it starts to thaw out the first time. I don't know where the more appetizing idea would come from? Its actually more rotten.

Refreezing once is fine, I have never seen or had any issue with it unless you have a snake that needs the prey item regiggled a few times before it is actually consumed. Also I don't know where this garbage about you're supposed to feed in a separate enclosure came from but it's time for it to stop. Feed them where they live

I know I have seen quite a few people say that lately. That is where they are most comfortable... feed them in their enclosure.
As for refreezing, I personally wouldn't but that me, I've heard of people doing it with no I'll effects
