Ball Pythons are not known to be good 'display' pets because they do prefer to hide than be out in the open.
Ball Pythons naturally seek out hides and tight spaces. It's where they feel most comfortable and safe.
They don't like open spaces because they would be easy targets for predators. If she likes to hide, that means she's 'happy'.
If she's in a rack, she probably doesn't need a hide since the rack acts like a hide itself. If she's in a stand alone tub, I would personally offer her a hide, or at least keep part of it covered with a towel or something.
