Got an early Christmas gift.

Got a new speckled king snake. My friend bought it for me from a local reptile store. Can any one tell me if it's a girl or boy? I don't know much about king snakes. Someone told me you can tell by the tail. I'm guessing make because the tail seems long, but would like a second opinion. But I don't know what to look for and I don't have anything to compare it to. Here are some pics.

guessing gender by tail length is iffy at best though it's much easier on some species then others. It's impossible to tell on ball pythons but easier on kingsnakes. I'd guess that's a male as well.

Very nice snake, you don't see many speckled kingsnakes available.
