This Girl Is Gonna Be A Boss When She's Older
Came across this video of a guy from BHB bringing his daughter to work with him. Her reaction to getting bit a minute in is impressive for a young girl. However, after watching the whole video.. She was definitely handling some snakes I think were a little too aggressive. She must have gotten bitten 3-4x in the video. Also not sure if this belongs here or off topic so I took a stab at it.
That Rhino Rat Snake is coooool, too.

She and her dad have their own YouTube channel too where she talks about and handles snakes. "SnakehuntersTV"
She'll be a wealth of knowledge when she's older.

The Vid's taking too long to buffer and crap but i got about 2min in. I would not let my daughter handle a savu python thats big and aggressive like that. One bite to the face and shes blind in one eye for the rest of her life. Irresponsible imo. Letting her handle that spotted python that bit her arm? Sure, not as big a deal. It doesn't look nearly as large or aggressive. Seems like dad is letting his little girl make him too proud and taking unnecessary risks...

Yeah, that's exactly how I feel about it. She handled it like a champ, but if that were my daughter she would only be grabbing the snakes I knew were chill and primarily harmless. The fact that the video was obviously made for YouTube as well, I would be even more cautious about the snake choices. It's not really until the end that she starts handling a bunch of balls.......... erm..

Pretty much this^^ Just saw a video here the other day too of her hand feeding snakes. I'm thrilled that my daughter is fearless when it comes to snakes, and loves them to pieces and participates in all things snake. However, I do take precautions. I have two balls that will bite you, and I won't let her handle them. Granted they couldn't really do any serious damage, but when I have plenty of other friendly snakes, why have her get bit? She also feeds all the snakes, but I would not let her hand feed a boa. And I'm still plenty proud of her.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

As you should be! It may be more common than I think, I don't know. But in my life time I have come across few females, let along young one's that are into snakes. I know y'all are out there, especially since joining this forum. I guess out in the flatlands (Massachusetts, not VT) snakes aren't as cool :p.
Also, I definitely agree- would never feed a boa by hand myself! Certainly wouldn't let my child do so. I just don't understand the reasoning behind that..

Hahah, that's awesome! My neighbor actually is starting to love my BP. I'm getting a new one soon so I'm having her watch my normal for a couple months. She was just kinda nervous from inexperience at first but she loves the little guy. It's gotta be a Massachusetts thing... lol
