I don't mean to come off strong here if I do, but what's expensive to you? $5-15 or more. I'm just flabbergasted at the rate people want to skip important steps of keeping an animal.

Some stuff that you may end up paying a few $$ more will be cheaper in the long run.

That's great stuff used by many vets to clean stuff. That will last a very long time. You buy a 1 oz pump for it and you're set. All you need is to get a gallon of distilled water for under $1.50(actually 98 cents here at winn-dixie). Then buy an empty gallon container $2-3 and another pump(doesn't have to be 1 oz) for your empty container. Pour the water in the empty container and two full pumps of the Chlorhexidine in it. Then you can put that into a spray bottle and you have really good cleaner. Total you're looking at $20, but for a gallon of water($1.50) and that's good for a few weeks. Now Chlorhexidine does break down, but with distilled water it lasts the longest.

I personally use a spray bottle and a 1/4 of a pump of the Chlorhexidine so that way it lasts longer. I use a different measurement system to make sure it's very close to what the original mixture would be for a gallon. That $14 bottle of Chlorhexidine will last you for well over a year though.
