Many snakes are opportunistic feeders. And as such will eat far more than they need. That is handy in the wild where they don't know when or where their next meal will be.
If you want consistent growth without risking the health of your BP, I would suggest trying rats that are 10-15% the weight of your snake every 5-7 days as a juvie and ending up around 10-14 days as an adult.
Some snakes will hit a wall on feeding and just stop for a bit while others won't.
My BP's have ranged from 600 to 1100 grams at 1 year. And, now they are so sure of themselves weighing is a pain because they would like to slither out of the container and explore rather than ball up and try to hide in the container.
