Do your research, in many states it requires a license to own venomous reptiles.
Do not meet people in parking lots to purchase animals, make sure THEY have the proper license to be selling (as what you may be buying is native, and subject to more regulations).
Above all, try to get experience in maintaining venomous through another experienced keeper.
It's in San Antonio, Tx. Then there's a show in Ennis... but I don't remember the site (& I've never been there before). The SA show is nice with alot of great people.
