Personally I didn't even tell my supers about my snakes but then again, I'm in a whole different country so the laws here are undoubtedly different - discrimination act allows pets in Ontario.

As someone who went through the whole leasing process several times over the past couple of years, and finally settling in an apartment with my partner, I would strongly advise a well-written advertisement on a leasing website!
You don't necessarily have to say what kind of pets you have (as this unfortunately does open you up for people to discriminate against you/them) but just include that you do have 2 small/quiet pets in your ad, and hopefully that will thin out the herd to an appropriate point for you to begin looking.
