^^^this. And also, they only need about one lock per month. We like to get about 1 lock every 3 weeks just to be sure. But 1 could be more than enough with some girls...

Let me guess you are buying this snake from the Hampton Roads area of VA. This snake is not pos het pied. It was bought as a proven het albino a few months ago. The person that bought it is just starting in BP's and saw some markers on the snake and started calling it 100% het albino pos het pied. I told him it was shady to say that not knowing if the breeding that produced it had the pied gene. He then sold it or traded it to the person that you are dealing with. I think the guy you are dealing with was misled when he acquired the snake but I told him the story of the snake when I saw him post it on Craigslist as a 100% double het. Whatever you decide to do make sure you quarantine the snake. If you get it you will be atleast the fourth owner in less than 3 months.

Re: new and in need of advice. please help.

Zeus check your pm please. This snake is a gift for my daughter she wants babies this year and I love that she is obsessed with the hobby. I sold off my small collection when she was 9 due to deployment to Afghanistan. And she has wanted to get a collection of her own ever since. I made her research for months before I bought her the first. A lemon pastel female. She then wanted a "white morph" but I can't afford one so I got her a th male and would later get an ivory female. She doesn't care if the 2800 gram female is for sure het pied cause if the breeding takes all her babies will be. But however "I" do x are if its for sure 100% het albino and that its a proven breeder. Any info you have on the snake that the seller may not have or was misinformed about would be great. He has been honest and helpful to a fault. But if he was lied to to begin with than the info is dirty. I know he can't help what some previous seller told him. I've been in that boat before too. Like in 2004 my het victories grew up to produce albino hatching! I was passed. But at that time the yb was pretty new and info on them was not readily available... it sucked!
