    Follicles?

I am breeding a Super lesser to a Normal female. I am new to this so I have been watching a ton of videos and reading a lot to figure out what to do. I put my thumb on her back and lightly apply pressure to where follicles should be and feel marble size bumps. Whats next, if that is really what I felt? what kind of timeline until ovulation?

    Hey Derrick,

The thing about palpating is that you need to have some kind of chart for yourself in regards to keeping track of their size. I keep a record and know that when they get to be about the size of a ping pong or golf ball (they can be harder to feel as they get bigger) I need to start watching for ovulation. So when they feel about that size, watch your girl closely.

I had felt them before on her and they weren't this big and I checked her the other day and they have gotten much larger but I dont feel them all the time. She doesn't like being handled too much.

    Hi,

Yeah the timeline does vary - just keep trying and monitor growth - when they get to around 45-50mm it's almost ovulation time.

Some of mine are co-operative with palpating and some instantly tense up and make it almost impossible.

And a golf ball is 43mm in diameter, so like I said just wait for that point. Sometimes you won't be able to feel them. They do grow kind of quick. In a month's time they can grow quite large.
