    BP on her "period"

So my female 11 month old pied has started getting an attitude. She's hissing has even struck at me a couple of times. She's usually a shy, calmish snake. She's also eating has become aggressive. She's always been a good eater but now it's more aggressive. Is she reaching sexual maturity and on her snake "period"? I was curious if this has happened to anyone else.

Female snakes do not shed their produced eggs like human females...they are simply reabsorbed to my knowledge.

Have you weighed her recently to see if she needs to be bumped up a prey size? She could just be very hungry.

    Re: BP on her "period"

She's probably just hungry. Snakes don't get their "periods".

My male pastel must be on his period every time I pick him up. He's always hissing at me when I pick him up. Your snake is almost ready for small rats. Bump up the feeder size or feed every five days instead of every seven.
