    Is she fat enough??

I've been reading about how fat my ball python should be and I see a lot of people saying ball pythons shouldn't be "triangular." I'm just wondering how round they should be? My ball looks healthy to me, but this is the first one I've owned so I could definitely be wrong. She's pretty round but still has some of the "triangle" shape she had when I got her. I just want to make sure she's healthy and I'm feeding her enough! Here's a couple of pictures of her where you can see the shape of her body.

Looks good to me. Looks to have good girth, doesn't look to chucky, but looks good and full and lean..what I always look at is there neck and then the fattest part of the body,if there is a significant difference I'd say all is good. So I say you snake is all good.

    Is she fat enough??

Ok awesome!! When I got her the pet store had her on 2 pinkies a week, and then I had a hard time finding a store with food big enough for her, so I'm glad to see I was able to fatten her up! Thanks!

What's she weigh and I guess 2 pinks are equivalent to a hopper, but I'd get her on rat pups...my one guy made the switch with no problems, from rats to mice that is..my other guy,it took a few feeding sessions until I finally gave him no choice and left a rat pup in there with him for 2 hrs,he starred at it and even layed next to it at one point for like20 mins,lol,until2 hrs later he finally struck and ate,now he takes rat pups right away.

once I got my guys on rats, they gained weight super quick. My ghost on NOv3 weighed 226 grams,I weighed him yesterday,Dec4 and he weighs 352 grams. I feed him every 4-5 days

    Is she fat enough??

She's on large mice right now, she weighs 179 g. She's pretty reluctant to eat on day 5/6 so I'll probably keep her on large mice for one more box (so about a month) and then switch her to rats. I always weigh her before I go buy food so I can buy something about 15% of her weight so she can finish the whole box and still get enough food. Believe me, I can't wait until she's on rats! The pet store I go to doesn't have rat pups so I have to wait a little longer to start her on them though /:

She could be a bit rounder, does her prey leave a small lump after she eats?

Your baby looks healthy. Here's a pix of a under waight bp. I rescued him from a person that didn't know what they were doing.

This is him 6 months later. Such a chunky butt now. Lol.

Seems your doing everything right. Just feed her meals the size of the thickist part of her body and she will plump up nicely.
