Nothing is wrong with feeding mice. But feeding multiple mice at a time could be a pain. It's all just personal and snake preference.

    Re: why back to mice.

Mine normal female is the same way. She took pre-killed small rats twice and then decided she wasn't interested. She's still pretty picky though. I try to feed her a medium and a large mouse a week. Sometimes she'll eat both and sometimes she'll just eat the medium and won't care at all about the large at all.

For anyone who knows, I've heard on multiple occasion the phrase "1,000 gram wall" and wondering what's that about. My female right now is at 956g. Thanks!

My big pied girl at some point or another has taken live rats, frozen thawed rats without issue. Now she will not touch rats or frozen thawed, but puts down 3 adult mice a week without hesitation.

The "wall" is when snakes stop eating suddenly. They eat fine and regularly until they "hit the wall" at around 1000 grams then suddenly stop for no reason.
    It's pretty common.

Thanks for the clarification. That's what I thought but wanted to make sure.

Well I hope she gains at least 600 grams by next year because I'm planning on breeding her to see if she's het Albino.

I had a snake that ate rats, then switched to mice for almost 3 years, not all the sudden he's back to eating rats and ft rats at that! You never know with these snakes. Feeding only mice is fine, you just have to feed more than one mouse at a time if it's a bigger snake. My adults get 4-6 mice at a time depending on their size.
