I have a pair of het pieds that I bought a year ago. Both the male and female would strike at me any opportunity that got when they first arrived. Now a year later they have stopped trying to bite my face off , but when I pick them up and hold them they stiffen up like a board and rarely ever relax. I have other snakes that don't mind being held so I only hold these two when necessary as they really don't like it. I wondered if their behavior was inherited.
