Snakes move during copulation
So I'm just curious about whether I have a lock up or what not. I'll post pictures if necessary but to start I'll just explain the situation. So, I have seen what looks like two clear lock ups today or maybe one, or maybe know; that's the dilemma. I saw them this morning and there tails were wrapped and they looked locked up, but when I used a mirror I saw a hemipene hanging out so I though, "he's still working on it," but then I check ten minutes later to validate what I saw and I no longer saw the hemipene, so now I'm thinking he got it. I've read that they usually stay locked up, but in coming home from school today I see them in a different position, as in almost all the way on the other side of the tub, but this time the cloacas look more lined up then before, but still the whole tail wrap deal. So I'm thinking did I get a lock up this morning? And if so, do they move during copulation, at least that much? Any insight would be nice because I'm stumped. (this is my first pairing). Help would be very much obliged

All 3 look like locks to me.

I've heard they don't move much and it's a rather boring affair, but I don't know. The two I've put together so far seem to be on some weird, wild, fetish ride everytime they're together. Water bowl knocked around, water everywhere, pee everywhere, poop thrown in sometimes. Everytime I look in on them, they're locked but in a different place. It doesn't look like a tub where two snakes lazily copulated for a couple of days without much movement.

It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.
