Success!
Got back from our little 3-day Thanksgiving getaway. I know it's early to take our new baby out, but I couldn't stand thinking about him being under fed. I took him out for about 20 mins (put him back in his tub) and from there I got a rat pup, f/t by the way (was on live). About an hour later or so. I put him in a different container like I do with my other bp and our baby as soon as I put it by his face quick flick of his tongue bam strike and connected. Even tho it hasn't been a week I just felt the need to feed him. Had him for 5-days.

Just FYI you don't have to switch him to another container, they do just fine I their tub and they won't get aggressive.
But I understand because I got my normal from a guy who said "this snake won't eat f/t at all!" Well first time I tried feeding her, she ate f/t! So excited lol
And once they eat f/t it makes life easier.

I prefer changing them to another container. My 2 snakes are very relax and calm

I have six ball pythons and feed all of them in their enclosures. They are all docile and are never aggressive, not even a bump. While not necessary, it is still a personal preference. It's just more work.

Agreed, my 4 eat in their enclosure.

My only concern about feeding my two in their enclosures is the possibility of ingesting aspen shavings. Up until recently, I was feeding my young boa in a separate tub but after reading here about everyone feeding in the enclosures, I've done it the last couple times. I do make sure I dry the rat pups well with a hair dryer after thawing though. I would think that would minimize the chance of aspen ingestion.

Mine are on aspen... a little bit getting ingested is not an issue. They dissolve bone. They eat dirt and stuff in the wild, it's not cleaned off for them
You will see most here feed in the enclosure, as you're already doing, dry the prey off and they'll be fine.
In the end it's your choice, but there is no way I'm moving my ones that know what day feeding day is and are at the front of the tub before I open it!!

OP don't worry too much about underfeeding they can go awhile without, even as hatchlings. A schedule is nice, but if you happen to go away for a few days, your BP will be absolutely fine I'll bet!
Also, if feeding out of the enclosure works for you and the snake, keep doing what you're doing! I feed one of my snakes in the enclosure (simply because he gets excitable) and the other outside, and she couldn't care less if we watch her. Even though both are on f/t I also enjoy watching as well, which is why I do it.
