I have made the trek from Southern Alberta, where I grew up, to Windsor ON numerous times as that is where I attended university. Are you planning on staying within the Canadian border the whole time? North Western Ontario from Thunder Bay to Kenora is beautiful countryside. In my opinion, there is not much to see in Manitoba and Saskatchewan if you stay on the Trans Canada, and Alberta isn't much different until you hit the majestic Rocky Mountains. Do you know what mountain pass you will be taking from AB to BC? Roger's Pass will take you from Calgary through Banff and Jasper national parks, very beautiful but quite heavy traffic. Crowsnest Pass is a few hours south of that and takes you from Pincher Creek, AB to Fernie, BC. If you take this pass I would suggest stopping at Waterton National Park and setting up camp there. I'm going on a (kind of) cross country road trip.. Toronto to BC. I'm going to be camping the whole way and am SO excited to see mountains for the first time. Not to mention all the awesome fishing and scenery!
