    Is Tetracycline safe to give to my rat? i don't want to give him anything that will cause him harm.

    It's labeled for fish because no body takes a fish to the vet. It's just an antibiotic to treat for bacterial infections. It was actually a vet who told me to use the Tetracyclin powder because it's cheaper to get that from the petstore than go in for a vet visit and get prescribed the same exact meds.

    It's safe to use. I've used it to treat respiratory infections in rats. They've all healed up fine in 2 weeks. Some of those rats are turning 3 years old this year and they got sick when they were 1 or younger.
