    When a snake goes blue in a shed cycle, the go clear again before shedding.
    Sounds like he doesn't have enough humidity to shed.

    And don't worry about bites. Paper cuts hurt more, in my opinion. In fact, the 2 times I've ever been bitten in the years I've owned ball pythons, I didn't even notice I was bitten till I saw the blood.
