About a week ago i posted a string about having a problem with my human heating pad i would have it on low and the temps would soar to around 120F. I decided to test the different modes LO-MED-HI. Well i found out something very disturbing. I put the pad on top of the screen lid of my tank to get a little radiant heat down in the tank (my light went out) and i have a small zoomed UTH under the tank. Well it seems like the highest temps on the pad itself is on the low setting this reached as high as 135.6 degrees. Then i tested the MED setting and the high temps with this was 101.7 degrees. Then i tested the HI setting and the high temps at this setting was 88.7 degrees.

In conslusion SOME MORON WIRED IT BACKWARDS. Its funny but it almost injured my BP.
    Thanks,
    Damien

Lesson learned....don't use new heating devices without testing them in an empty container first. But at least you now know how to make that particular heating pad work. Glad nothing serious came of it!

Wow, that is moronic. But at least now you know you can use it safely on medium and high.

Justin...have you ever tested the actual temperatures on the different settings of your pad like Damien did? Maybe yours is wired backwards, too!
