I have a Guyana that is 4 foot and was a rescue. He was 300 grams when I got him. at 4 foot he was as big around as my thumb. he is now eating a 35-40 gram rat every 10 days to get him up to size. yes it is a slow process but none the less he put 50 grams on in 3 the past 3 months. Another member I was talking to has an 8 foot 35-40lb female and gets a jumbo rat every 2.5-3 weeks. that is many peoples mistake with boas. they want them to grow big to fast. and yes I am guilty of it too. if you like the idea of feeding buy another snake. that is what I did. I like to see them eat so I bought another boa, and another, and another. At a medium rat it should be 14 day feeds.

Watching them eat doesn't do anything for me, I just like to make sure they are fed properly, kinda like how grandma always trys to give you food ;] I will never complain about saving money on feeding
