Today is the second day of treatment, poor thing I hope he pulls thru he really is pretty. I feel so bad for him its stressful enough for a snake to make a move and now he has to have his mouth swabbed out everyday and medicine squirted down his throat I hope I can get him to eat when he gets better. I asked the vet about using a nebulizer with f10, she said she never heard of this procedure and didnt want to comment one way or another. A fellow breeder close by said he has a nebulizer I could use and I have some f10 but I dont know if I sbould do it or not any opinions?

I wouldn't, it sounds like the poor guy is stressed enough with everything he has to deal with now.

More and more vets are recommending the F10 and nebulizer route as a complimentary treatment. I've actually used it on some returned snakes that came back sick and it works well.

3ml of F10 per liter of water for your mixture. Place in nebulizer and do a 30 minute treatment once per day. I use a good size cooler and hook the nebulizer tube up to the drain plug.

Place a bit of the animal's substrate in the the cooler before you start to reduce stress. I find that nebulizing is much less stressful than restraining the animal and giving it an injection.

A week of baytril and mouth swabbing and he is doing better no more swabbing I think bexause the gunk in his mouth has gone away and he doesn't have his mouth open with head in the air and isnt producing as much mucus. I have been letting him soak in the sink with slightly warmed water after the medicine and he seems to like it going under the water and drinking and itblooks like he is rinsing out his mouth with it. Last week he looked like he was about to die and today he is coming out of the hide and looking much better

That's great news man,I hope he continues to recover and makes a 100% recovery. which seems like it will happen... Good luck

not that I'm some pro,but I'd swab for atleast another week. Better be safe than sorry,an extra week won't hurt but can only help.

Big improvement, my little OG is doing much better. The antibiotics are almost gone and he is doing much better swelling has gone down and just a little mucous remains so I started the f10 nebulization but he is moving around and seems stronger. He still hasnt eaten but hopefully will soon.
