What do you use to clean your terrarium/tubs?
Hey everyone, i'm wondering what you guys use to disinfect and clean your terrariums or tubs. I'm currently using Healthy Habitat cleaner (24oz bottle runs me about $12). It was recommended to me and has been working out pretty well for me but I want to see what the rest of you use. Maybe there's a better alternative for me and I'm just curious to see what else is out there.
Also, I would think it would be a good thread for the newer owners to check out what can be used to clean their animal's habitat safely.

I use a Chlorhexidine mixture with distilled water. I think quite a few other people use it as well. It's what most vets use from what I understand.

I use diluted Chlorhexidine and Healthy Habitat. I will also wash out tubs with dish soap and water after spraying them down with Chlorhexidine.

I've just purchased something called 'Ark Klen' My male BP had an awful ammonia smell in his tub which wouldn't go away with good scrubbing so waiting for that to be delivered this week. A few people over here in the UK suggested it to me, not sure if available worldwide but it may well be

Re: What do you use to clean your terrarium/tubs?
I use a 1/32 bleach solution on my tanks/tubs, and it has worked well. This was recommend to me by exotic animal instructor who is also a veterinarian and reptile specialist.

Cheapest dish detergent the store has, my shower, and a scrubby. After washing, cages are wiped with a rag soaked in alcohol and allowed to dry out completely.

If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

F10, the stuff is so concentrated that even a tiny bottle lasts ages. In fact It's taken me 18 months to use 1/2 of a 100 ml bottle and I spray down the tubs every time they do a urate.
