I plan on building at least one out of slate for his hot spot...but these were quick and free  and actually he is curled up under the big one right now...so what was temporary might actually stay

This guy is sooo cool, he reminds me of a little dinosaur, I sat watching him for a while last night get situated in his new cage and he would poke his head out just enough to see his eyes. I fed him an egg last night and he inhaled it, but showed zero food agression, he ate it out of my hand with no problems!

Looks like a happy camper You could probably increase the basking temperature more by stacking the hide on top of something else, to be honest. That'd get it closer to the heat light without you having to get more lights.
Glad to see this guy in a good home. Keep sharing pics, he was one of my favorites here!

oh my gosh, he is adorable! We have a 40 g. tank sitting empty and the kids and I have been talking about getting a bts for it....you might have sealed the deal
