No idea whats going on with Shedding!!! :(
Hi All!
So my snake has been in "Shed Mode" for almost a week. I noticed that her skin started to get kind of grey and her eyes are blue shadowy shade. (I'm Color Blind lol) But her eyes got extremely hazy after about 4 days, and yesterday morning I noticed they started to clear up. She still has not shed yet Is she just taking her time? I have her humidity between 50 - 70% for the past 4 days. (Not easy to do )
Also, it was her feeding day yesterday but I didn't want to bother her. Should I try and feed her anyway tonight and see if she takes it? Or just wait for her to shed and stuff?
Thank you all!
~Jake

Excellent thread on the entire shedding process here: http://ball-pythons.net/forums/showt...edding-Process
After the eyes clear up from going blue it's usually another 36 to 48 hours and then they shed their skin.
As far as feeding, you can always try. I usually just don't feed until after the shed is complete, though.

It is okay to use pine bedding for snakes.
It is okay to feed live food to snakes.

You have to wait for the eyes to clear form cloudy then they will shed some time after that, it's not always straight away and some snakes take longer than others. They don't shed when they are "in the blue" and normally not directly after.
I offer food as scheduled every time, if they don't take, they don't take
Shedding from start to finish can take up to 2 weeks if memory serves right

If you have a BP who has been known to be a picky eater, you can wait until after the shed - they are usually quite hungry at this time! If not, I'd just go about the normal routine as preveiously stated.

We are also going through a shed with our bp. She is an adult but it is our first shed with us. I was going to feed her but the hiss she gave me said no thanks. I'll just let her be and do her thing.

Hahaha...yeah. Mine has not been to happy. But she has not struck at me even once since I got her....but she was very difficult in the beginning to take care of.

Ours is sweet as can be 99% of the time. I probably should have just left her alone but you have to learn these things the hard way some times. She didn't strike or even really move...just a low hiss which told me to back off. Since she eats well and had a nice plump rat just last weekend I'm not worried about her eating. We are just leaving her alone, upping the humidity, keeping the water fresh, heat steady, and letting her do her thing.
