Phoenix Reptile Expo 2013 Pics + last addition for awhile! (DUW)

Went to the 2013 Phoenix Reptile Expo today in Mesa and had a blast: I look forward to this show every year Had a great time seeing all the animals and spent the day with my Dad which was wonderful. Just wanted to share lots of pics! The turnout was big again like last year and it seemed like there was the same amount of vendors (if not more) so there was a lot of cool stuff to check out. Will probably need to do a couple posts since there's a photo limit per post. Also excuse some of the off lighting in some of the pics, some photos came out a bit too yellow or blueish.

And finally my new and last addition for a long while: a beautiful platinum retic baby female from Daniel Solis! I saw an ad he put up for a beautiful little girl on Kingsnake a few weeks ago so I was thrilled to see 3 or 4 little platty females on his table! I initially chose another one but unfortunately that one turned out to be a male when he popped him (glad he checked!) so this little girl was my next choice. She's just a couple months old and I think she'll brighten up to be a beautiful yellow adult one day! I got a pastel ball female two years ago from Dan at this same expo and she's turned into a stunning adult pastel so I have no doubts this girl will turn into a A+ adult in time: Dan's animals are top notch. Spoke with him a good while at the show too: he's a good guy.

This little girl is to be my last addition for a good, long while: I want to focus on getting my sleeve done and getting some work finished on my car so I'll be living vicariously through everyone else's additions Plus I have quite a few coming up on needing some nice big AP vivs so that's something to look forward to too

I also picked up a nice big snake hook and huge feeding hemostats because the little 10" tongs I had weren't cutting it anymore with the bigger guys! Missed out on frozen feeders though: not one feeder vendor there. That was my only disappointment. Overall had a great time!

lol there actually wasn't too much I was really looking for! Didn't see any champs with ringers, no fires, no spotnose combos, no genetic stripes I liked, no bright red Bredls...I count myself lucky that there wasn't too much for me to personally decide over!

Well, I didn't see a single BP I didn't like and I fell in love with some of the lizards and....I think I need to seek help. I am not allowed more snakes! Not for a while! I felt like I went to the show with you though! Really enjoyed this thread!!

Not a big fan of boa's myself but yours looks very pretty. Love her colouring and pattern!

Glad you enjoyed the pics! I always like to look back on past years' photos and see what things were there vs now and how prices have changed!
