This, lol, polymorphism from its Latin roots means "many forms". Not necessarily speaking of extremes as much as it is dealing with diversity.

Exactly were are talking about the same thing. All morphs have differences with in themselves

Don't worry guys, I fixedid it, . Sorry to be detail oriented but genetics requires it.

Update on one crazy Mojave
Oh ok, i get it now. "Morphs" is a poor choice of wording when applied to balls because of the way we use it in the hobby i suppose. Makes sense though.
I'm still just seeing mojo het pied and wondering what else you're seeing though...

Extremes would be relevant to the individual. A new person to the hobby might not think there is much difference between a very reduced patterned normal and a very busy patterned normal, to me or some other individuals it might be and 'extreme' difference. Why even argue about it when we are basically talking about the same thing....it's all relative to the individual

I am afraid there is a difference...
Extreme: farthest from ordinary
Diversity: displaying multiple points of difference
These are both qualitative terms to an extent; however, the former speaks of only one area of difference, whereas the latter is an umbrella term for all points of difference in a population, hence its tie to the term polymorphism: many forms. Your argument seems to say that the individual keeper has his or her own definitions of morphs and genetics, this is of course plausible; however, we must use the most logical and agreed upon terms when discussing such areas with others. How many different names do you think me and my lab partners have for all the machinery and tests we perform? Tons, but the "official" name goes on the research paper.
