Soaking issues

So, when I give my little pied a soak it really seems to bother her. My last male couldn't care less about soaking. My new female is pretty young, and I'm just wondering if its stressing her out to much. I know a soak is good for hydration, and helping w a bowel movement, but she just thrashes around. Anyone else have these issues?

Actually soaking is really not necessary, they will do it on their own in their water bowl if needed. You are stressing her out for no reason
As long as your humidity is where it should be hydration shouldn't be an issue

I was going to ask if there was a reason to soak her. I only soak mine if I absolutely have to, ie, stuck shed for 2 shed cycles. You don't want stuck sheds to pile up, but one layer of stuck shed here and there won't hurt them.

As stated before, there is no reason to just soak your ball python. If you do run into a legitimate issue that needs soaking, use a small container with a lid, but don't fill the water level up more than 1/2 the snakes body. And most snakes wont really enjoy being forced to soak, so only do it as needed.
