    Sampson and Kaa

I'm still reading up everyday about Ball Pythons and I have taken a very strong interest in all genetics and mutations. Because of this, my desire to breed them grows stronger each day. But I am in no hurry. I'll show off some pictures of my boys.

Here is Sampson. He seems to be about 1 maybe 2 years old and is 2 feet or so. I got him along with his tank, hide, and water dish. The lady who had owned him before me was moving on post and wasn't able to keep him, so I had decided to contact her and take him off her hands. Being in my care, he's bulked up a bit, and so I had to switch his diet around. The pet shop owner where I buy my mice from said he's a bit fat.

Sampson was named after the very first Ball Python I had ever had contact with in school when I was just a child. He's a bit head shy, but otherwise is very tame, sweet, and loveable. If snakes are capable of having favorite owners, his favorite would be my husband. He loves coiling around Jeremy's neck instead of mine. This picture was taken today just after he had eatin, and he is very spoiled. D: Everything in his cage was bought to make him feel more at home? He's a happy boy regardless.

This is Kaa, he was named after the snake in Walt Disney's The Jungle Book. He is about a month or so old, still a baby. I was looking up Pastel Morphs and I came across one that was called a Pastel Asphalt, and it looked very much like Kaa, so I'm guessing that is what he is. I fell in love with his colors, and because of him, I'm interested in breeding some day to see what other beautiful morphs and colors I can get. Kaa was rescued and was in poor health, he was dehydrated and, I had to soak him due to a very bad shed and assist in getting the rest of it off. The previous owner was putting oil and stuff on him to help, and I don't really think that is safe or normal is it? Either way, he's doing much better now, and is quite at home in his tank.

Whelp that is all I have to share for today. I really wish that I can get a beautiful female Morph, but for now it's just wishful thinking. Cheers!
