I would start your baby off on mice. A baby boa can certainly take rat pinks, but they are better off on mice for awhile. Mice are lower in fat, higher in bone/calcium. This helps your baby grow better (not bigger, but better) and they'll be less likely to have regurge issues. I keep my boas on mice until they are eating large adult mice, then switch to a similar size rat (usually weaned rats). Most breeders start off neonates on mouse fuzzies. If yours is a late 2013 baby, I would stick with the mouse fuzzies. If it's an early 2013 (born in the spring), it may be able to go to mouse hoppers. Feed the size that does not leave a lump in the snake's belly. And stick to a 7-10 schedule.
