I have a pastel female who I'd like to breed in a couple of years when she is age and weight appropriate and so far I have found two morphs I am interested in from private breeders in my area. I was wondering which you think would be more appropriate between a bumblebee and a fire to go with her to get killer bees/firefly etc
On the other hand do you think I should be looking at different morphs? e.g. spider/pastel etc
Thanks in advance
I was looking for the same thing, a good stud for my pastel female. I chose a Bumble bee, fires do not really appeal to me so they were never in the equation to begin with. Work with what you are interested in.

I think I am going to go with the spider
Boy, when they say this is addictive they really mean it! I thought the whole "rats in my freezer" thing would kill off the enthusiasm but it stopped bothering me after an hour!
The spider male is quite small (under 100g) what since RUB would you guys suggest? (Please remember I'm British and gallon tanks etc confuse me :p

I bought my pastel one month ago from a rep shop, bought my het albino boy (who eventually needs his own girlfriend as he is a sweetheart) about two weeks ago and looking for my third.
I enjoy looking after them and discovering new things and this website has been nothing but help with that!
Now, to buy in the bits and pieces needed for a new addition. Damn my impulsive buys

She also said he was striking now too.
If nothing ever changed, there would be no butterflies.

Yeah, I did double check that with the breeder (sorry I should have made that clearer in my own post) He also has no noticeable wobble as of yet which was my only concern. From a breeding perspective it would be lovely to get some bumblebees and if I decide not to breed he is a beautiful morph so it's a win, win I think!
Would you say he looks like a good quality spider from the photograph?

Instead of a bumble bee or fire, look at fire spiders!
That way you can get bees and fire fly offspring.

I haven't seen them offered anywhere near where I'm from. It seems to be more base morphs around here and for anything further the price gets hiked quite far from my budget. I think my heart is set on the spider but I will definitely keep your advice in mind for future!
Thank you!
