Hi new to the forums. Lesser bee bp pics

Hey guys and gals im new to the forum. Ive owned snakes all my life. Just recently picked up a lesser bee from an expo here in kentucky. Last year I purchased an albino ball and she died. She wouldnt eat. Tried everything. Took her to pet store they kept her for a couple weeks she still wouldnt eat. Finally she died. Before her I had a brazilian rainbow boa kept her for a year and ended up giving her to a father and son who wanted a snake but couldnt afford one. Gave them enclosure and all. Couldnt stay away so this weekend I picked up this lesser bee male. Who is very active during holding and docile as can be. 5 mins after holding him he comes out of his ball and moves around great. My last albino never opened up to me so this one is looking to be a good snake. Will be trying to feed next weekend. Let him get settled in good. Heres some pics.

Thanks guy. Whats everyone using for substrate and heatinf/lighting these days. Ive always used carpet in my tanks. Thinking about switching. Also always uses day bulbs for heat and infrared at night. A guy at the expo was telling me I could just use the infrared day and night for heat and lighting due to BP's being nocturnal. Any truth to this? Or did this
guy not know anything. I dont want to
stress my new boy out with lighting. Thanks.
