Ewwwwww....the petstore left a dead rat in the cage long enough for it to get half-eaten...and then SEEN by customers? That's some seriously bad management.

As for the rat being a little wet...that's not a problem at all. I've heard stories of some snakes preferring their thawed prey totally wet. I'm happy for ya that the switchover from live to frozen went so easily!
