Ball python stomach and shedding

Lately my ball python has developed an orande stomach. Its only on a little section of his body. It doesnt seem to bother him at all. I know that it cant be a burn because his uth isnt that hot(i felt to make sure). Just adds heat under the hide. Could it be the cypress hes on. It is the kind for herps.

Also, today i went to check on him and hes in shed. Its weird since he just shed at the beginning of October. I heard it could be because of a growth spurt but he hasnt gotten too mich bigger

Feeling your UTH is not a proper way to measure temperature, your idea of hot is not the snakes idea of hot. Is it controlled with a thermostat? Do you have an IR thermometer to measure the surface temps? Thats how you should be doing it. As for a red spot, or orange as you say? Got pics? could be a number of things.
