My ball python was crawling on the table & when I grabbed him to pick him up he wiggled his head into incent oil so as soon as he did that I cleaned his head with a towel & soak him in Luke warm water but he still smells like incent oil , will it cause health problems ?!!

Probably not, but it is possible. What exactly is in the oil?

Just continue to monitor for any signs of respiratory distress (aromatic compounds in the oils could potentially damage lungs) and just general signs of something not being right (laying completely flat on the ground head and all, lethargic, refuses next meal, etc.). I don't use smelly stuff at all in my house because I don't want to breathe it in or come into direct contact with it and I would not want that crap on my snakes either, too many artificial chemicals that could have who knows what kind of effect on a living thing's tissues.

I'd use some soap, like dove, and help clean it off. You can't clean off oil with warm water.

I second this. The real issue is if the oil had made its way into the lungs. That could be very bad and there's not much you can do about it. Also can irritate and inflame the snake's mucus membranes, such as nasal passages and throat.

I hope this is nothing worse than a lesson learned.

I would not use a hand soap even dove, I would use Dawn dish soap, just a tiny bit. they use Dawn is what they use in wildlife to help clean up oil from oil spills, etc, its very mild. It would be the only soap I would even think of using on a snake if I had to use a soap.
