Yea. You can see the mom is the first one i posted. The two babies i posted are her son and daughter. Lots of variation just between those 3. Thats why i said buy one that YOU like bc the babies you produce are most likely going to be random anyways. As sho22 said, the quality should still be there, just that certain traits aren't guaranteed.

I like darker cinnys with a solid black back and as much of the distorted linear pattern on the sides as possible.

Well you have your basic genes... i.e. cinnamon, mojave, calico, pied, hypo, etc.
Those genes determine what the snake looks like in terms of color and pattern.
BUT in addition to those basic genes you have modifiers, which can modify the pattern and color. I.e. modifiers can make the cinnamon darker or lighter, more red or more black, more pattern or less pattern, etc. These modifiers may work on multiple genes, or may only work on select genes. Depending on what modifiers each parent carries, and how those modifiers combine in the baby will determine what the baby actually looks like. I'm not sure modifiers (or at least not all of them!) have actually be identified or "mapped" out... but I could be wrong. Either way... breeding "good" quality to "good" quality is more likely to give you more "good" quality. If one pair doesn't work, those two animals paired with different animals might work.
It's all very interesting stuff.
Why keep a snake? Why keep any animal? Because you enjoy the animal, find something beautiful and fascinating about it, and it fits seamlessly into your lifestyle.

I love cinnys. I want a DARK DARK snake with the face markings as faded as possible. Blackback with lots of floating connecting alien heads and high silver sides.

I was the same way when I first looked into ball pythons years ago. Was a big fan of the lighter morphs, but overlooked many. Lately , I've really been interested in the darker ones, including the cinny. I'm so indecisive. xD
