Hey all, I was handling my bp yesterday and heard it make this sqeaking noise. Kinda suprised me. Anyways, if I listen really closely to her breath, she makes this sort of wheezing or sqeaking sorta noise. I mean its not loud AT ALL, but I just want to know whether or not thats normal. She's eating great, growing fast, all signs point to healthy. Just being paranoid, thats all...

How close is she to shed? Loosening skin around the nostrils can cause a slight sound like that. If you're really concerned (and I'm not saying you shouldn't be!) then you should up the temperatures a few degrees and increase the humidity. Then watch her closely for any repeat of that sound. If it continues or worsens, then I would take her to the vet (a reputable HERP vet) for a professional diagnosis. If it IS an RI and you have discovered it early enough, then the increase in temps and humidity could very well clear it up just fine.

handled her tonight, couldn't hear any noises. Her skin is starting to dull up though, but no coudy eyes yet. She only went 3 weeks in between the last 2 sheds, and her last one was just about 3 weeks ago. I'm thinking thats all it was because I didn't hear anything tonight at all.

Good to hear. Sounds like one of those little paranoid moments they all give us. Just keep an eye on her and make sure the husbandry is spot-on and I'm sure she'll stay right as rain.
