After you feed her she should stop striking, its most likely because she is hungry. Go with the tub they work great and are real easy to transport. A hand warmer can help with heat during transport, you can put it up high on a shelf to help with the heat at home. Good luck keep us posted.

Hand warmers are good buy make sure to put it inside a pair of socks tied off. They can get really hot.
